After being missing from June 17, 2009, Gladys Winzinowich has been located in Winnipeg and is safe and sound.
On June 17, 2009 shortly before 8 p.m., RCMP Oakbank Detachment were contacted and advised that 85-year-old Gladys Winzinowich of the RM of Springfield (Cooks Creek area) was missing.
RCMP learned that she was last seen at the Bird’s Hill Provincial Park at the Ranch restaurant at about 3:30 p.m. on June 17th. Family and friends were unable to locate her. Police believed that she left the restaurant on foot. Gladys Winzinowich has a medical condition and may have become disoriented.
At about 6 am June 18, 2009, Gladys Winzinowich was located safe and sound in Winnipeg.
