On June 19, 2009, at approximately 12:55 am, members from the Powerview RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Little Black River First Nation.
Investigation revealed that a car had struck a parked school bus which was unoccupied at the time. There were three persons in the car and one has passed away due to injuries sustained in the collision.
Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor. Investigation into the matter is still ongoing and no names are being released at this time.
