Minnedosa RCMP were called to the scene of a single vehicle fatal collision Friday evening at 8:45pm near the village of Bethany.
Four females and one male were traveling eastbound on a gravel road when the 19-year-old male driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll into the ditch. A 17-year-old front female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of her injuries. The other female occupants and the driver received minor injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst was called to the scene. Alcohol was a factor in this collision.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending against the 19 year old prohibited driver. The names are being withheld pending further investigation.
