On August 22, 2015, around 3:30am, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP received a report of man passed out on the porch of a Main Street home in Dauphin, Manitoba.
Police investigators attended the scene and located the intoxicated man. During a search of his person, officers found a sawed-off .22 caliber gun tucked inside the waistband of his pants. It was later determined that the man was on probation and prohibited from possessing firearms by way of court orders.
RCMP report that 25-year-old Graham Philip Tyler Wood of Dauphin, has been charged with a number of criminal offences including possession of a weapon while prohibited, possession of a prohibited weapon and breach of probation.
