The Steinbach Arts Council is kicking-off their 2015/2016 concert season with an epic Creative Youth Council initiative called Turnip the Music, featuring music from the bands Suitcase Shoes and Paisley.
Paisley will open the evening with their alternative-pop exploration of the musical edges, corners and landscapes of their imaginations. Suitcase Shoes is a 5 piece folk-pop band that was conceived in the heart of the prairies. Their audience is guaranteed to have a great time enjoying their catchy, up-beat songs.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Neufeld Garage in Randolph on September 19, 2015. The venue is very unique to the culture of the Randolph community, with the original garage components and memorabilia from the Randolph ice rink, the church and the school displayed throughout this newly renovated community centre.
The Creative Youth Council’s goal is to plan epic and creative events for youth and young adults in the community. They want to empower young people to make a difference in and around their community, and give an opportunity to let local youth showcase their amazing talents!
