Peter de Jong, owner of Canadian Gold Beverages in Marchand, Manitoba, will start donating two cents for every bottle of Pic-a-Pop sold between September 20, 2015 and January 1, 2016, to help fundraise for refugees from Syria. Canadian Gold Beverages produces Pic-a-Pop beverages.
“For every bottle sold by stores in Manitoba and Co-op stores in Saskatchewan and Alberta and any other outlets in the Western provinces 2 cents will be donated to the Mennonite Disaster Relief Fund,” said Peter de Jong. “Everyone should be grateful for the good life we enjoy in Canada and should be willing to step up and give support to the refugees suffering from the disaster that has been going on for the last four years in Syria.”
Peter de Jong would like to see other Canadian businesses to do the same for the refugees from the Middle East.
