Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Marc Mayrand has released the estimated number of electors who voted on the four advance voting days in Provencher. Advanced voting took place from Friday, October 9 to Monday, October 12, 2015.
According to the preliminary figures, approximately 7,325 electors voted at the advance polls in the Provencher riding.
“Many Canadians chose to vote at advance polls in this election,” says Mayrand. “Having four polling days provided greater flexibility and convenience for voters.”
Across the country, there was an approximate 71% increase from the electors who voted in advance in the 2011 general election. This increase was due in part to an additional advance voting day on Sunday, offered for the first time.
