On October 14, 2015, RCMP stopped a vehicle traveling on Home Street in Steinbach after observing suspicious behaviour from the driver.
Police say that as officers were approaching the vehicle, they noticed a weapon beside the driver. Police then conducted a high risk arrest and the driver was taken into custody without incident. As a result of searching the driver and vehicle, police located and seized a weapon along with a quantity of methamphetamine.
RCMP report that the adult male driver was released on a promise to appear in court. He will be facing methamphetamine trafficking related charges as well as weapons related charges.
