At 7:48 am on June 25, 2009, Steinbach RCMP received a call of a serious motor vehicle collision approximately 1 mile west of Blumenort, Manitoba on Highway 311.
 
An eastbound vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle. The jaws of life had to be utilized in order to extract the occupants of the two vehicles. The occupants of the eastbound vehicle, one  20 year old male and one 18 year old female as well as the sole 25 year old male occupant of the westbound vehicle were all taken to hospital with serious injuries. The female has since been transferred to the Health Sciences Center.

There is no further details at this time on the condition of the female or the other two injured.

Steinbach RCMP and Selkirk Traffic Collision Analyst are continuing their investigation to determine a possible cause for the collision.
