A Steinbach woman is facing a number of impaired driving related charges after recently being arrested by Steinbach RCMP.
On October 19, 2015, Steinbach RCMP received multiple complaints of an impaired driver. Police say that the driver in question, a 59-year-old Steinbach woman, struck the stop sign at the Liquor Mart in Steinbach and then proceeded to the corner of Brandt Street and Loewen Avenue where she struck the traffic lights and knocked them down. She then fled the scene in her vehicle.
Steinbach RCMP located the vehicle and arrested the driver. She will be facing numerous charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
