On October 17, 2015, at 12:20pm, Nelson House RCMP responded to a call for assistance regarding an unresponsive male who was a victim of an apparent stabbing. The incident took place at a residence on the Nisichawayasihk First Nation, Manitoba.
Police say that the 21-year-old male from Nelson House was conveyed to the Nelson House nursing station, where he succumbed to his injuries.
RCMP report that 20-year-old Edita Annette Rae Spence has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Nelson House RCMP Detachment, with the assistance of the RCMP Serious Crime Unit, continue to investigate.
