On October 24, 2015 at approximately 9:25am, RCMP officers were called to a head-on collision involving a southbound car and a northbound pickup truck on Highway 13, south of Elm Creek, Manitoba.
Officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found that both vehicles had suffered significant damage.
Police say that the driver of the southbound car, a 17-year-old male from the RM of Dufferin, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck, an 18-year-old male, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
