On October 27, 2015, shortly after midnight, officers from both the Russell and Rossburn detachments responded to a violent home invasion at a rural residence north of Rossburn, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation revealed that an elderly male was tied up and assaulted by three unknown, masked male suspects carrying weapons. The victim was originally hospitalized and is now recovering. Investigators believed the incident was targeted.
RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects. The first suspect is described as tall, thin, with short/medium length hair. He appeared to have a mustache and was wearing a dark sweater and grey pants. The second suspect is described as a Caucasian with a stalky build, balding with short hair, possibly a pony tail and had a thick mustache. The third suspect is described as a younger male possibly in his 20’s.
Russell and Rossburn detachments are working with various specialized RCMP units as the investigation continues.
