On November 6, 2015, shortly before 2:30pm, Swan River RCMP responded to a vehicle collision approximately 4 km north of Swan River on Highway 10 near Road 216 N.
Officers arrived on scene and confirmed the collision involved a semi truck and a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup, a 52 year-old woman from Bowsman, Manitoba, along with a 24 year-old female passenger from Sturgis Saskatchewan, were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, a 52 year-old Cowan, Manitoba man, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that contributing factors have not been confirmed at this point. Traffic analysts are assisting the ongoing investigation.
