On November 7, 2015, at approximately 11:40pm, Steinbach RCMP conducted a traffic stop on 4th Street at the southeast corner of the intersection of Reimer Avenue and Brandt Street in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Police say that the vehicle that was stopped was determined as a stolen vehicle out of the St. Pierre RCMP detachment area. Subsequent investigation and a search of the vehicle unveiled methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, Canadian currency, evidence of identity theft and evidence of trafficking methamphetamine.
RCMP report that the 32-year-old male driver, identified as Jean Pierre Gagnon, was arrested and released on a recognizance on numerous charges including possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. The 33-year-old female passenger, identified as Tami Renz, was also arrested and released on a recognizance on numerous charges.
