On November 9, 2015, around 1pm, Gods Lake Narrows RCMP initiated an investigation after the body of an adult female was located in an isolated area. The matter is being treated as a suspicious death.
Gods Lake Narrows RCMP Detachment, with the assistance of the RCMP Serious Crime Unit and several other specialized units are engaged in this case.
“In order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this point,” said Sgt. Bert Paquet of the Manitoba RCMP. “Based on the initial steps of this case, officers do not believe there is a risk to public safety.”
