The City of Steinbach has just finished installing a new weigh scale at the Steinbach Landfill. The new scale was installed this past week and has already been put to use.

Having been installed in 1997, it was time to upgrade and put the old scale into retirement. Coming out of this year’s planned capital budget, the cost of the new scale is approximately $80,000.
The City notes that the new scale features up-to-date electronics and better durability for Manitoba’s weather.
