Manitoba Hydro has issued a public safety warning that will continue until Thursday night for Southern Manitoba.
Recent snow and frost buildup has caused some electrical lines to sag. High winds will increase the chance of localized power outages. While Hydro crews work to de-ice electrical lines, the public is warned to stay clear of any low wires and treat all lines as if live. If you encounter anything unsafe, Manitoba Hydro’s toll-free emergency number is 1-888-624-9376.
