On February 6, 2016 just after 4pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP officers were called to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 44, approximately 4 kilometres south of the Highway 11 junction.

Police officers arrived on scene and found a pickup truck in the east side ditch of the highway. Witnesses stated the pickup truck was traveling north on Highway 44 prior to losing control.

RCMP report that the 64 year-old driver, an Ontario woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female passenger suffered only minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

A traffic analyst attended the scene and is assisting the ongoing investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
