The Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition gave out awards this past weekend, which included recipients Canadian Gold Beverages from Marchand, Manitoba. The competition is the world’s longest running and largest water tasting competition.
On Saturday, February 27, 2016, two awards were presented to Canadian Gold Beverages. In-house brand Prairie Crystal Pure Spring Water, bottled since the early 1980’s, won silver in the “Best Bottles Water 2016” category. Another in-house brand taking a silver award was, TOUCH Sparkling Mineral Water. This product has been bottled since 2010 and is designed for people watching their sugar in-take as well as an aid for heartburn.
Canadian Gold Beverages qualified in the top with both Still Water and Sparkling Mineral Water. The water bottler in Marchand hopes to prove the quality of their products will increase sales and create additional employment in their local area.
Next year’s Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2017.
