On March 24, 2016, RCMP members from the Steinbach General Duty and GIS section concluded a weapons investigation which resulted in charges against two local residents.
RCMP report that 23-year-old Tanner Vogt of Blumenort and 21-year-old Kyle Dyck of Steinbach are facing a number of weapons and drug charges. Vogt, who remains in custody, faces further charges relating to the non-compliance of bail conditions. Dyck has been released on conditions.
Police say that this investigation came to light during routine bail compliance checks and should serve as a reminder that bail conditions will be enforced.
