On June 4, 2016, 37-year-old Bjarne Roussin was arrested in Winnipeg in relation to a number of break and enter incidents that occurred at the Ste. Anne Grocery Store and the La Broquerie Shell gas station.
Police say that these offences occurred in early March with a warrant being issued by the Ste. Anne Police last week after a lengthy investigation. Roussin has since been remanded into custody with other charges related to offences in Winnipeg.
“Officers worked very diligently on this investigation leaving no stone unturned,” said Chief Robichaud of the Ste. Anne Police Department. “I am very proud of the dedication they showed in bringing this file to successful conclusion.”
Police report that several thousand dollars worth of merchandise had been stolen from both stores.
