On July 16, 2016, at approximately 10:39pm, Steinbach RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Lumber Avenue on the north side of Main Street in Steinbach.
As a result of the stop and police investigation, a passenger in the car, 21-year-old Aidan Laing, was arrested and charged for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose as well as three counts of failing to comply with conditions of his undertaking on unrelated charges.
RCMP report that Laing has been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Winnipeg court.
