On July 21, 2009 , Oakbank RCMP received a report of a robbery and assault that had occurred on July 20 at about 8:30pm at the Inland Gravel pits along Oasis Road in the RM of Springfield.
Two male subjects had been swimming at the gravel pit to the east of Oasis Campground, when they were approached by three male subjects who socialized with the two males for approximately 30 minutes. The three males then left the area to return about 20 minutes later, assaulted the 2 males and left the area after stealing a backpack, wallet, clothing and two bicycles owned by the victims.
The first suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 21 years old, 5’10” tall, 170 pound with muscular build, numerous tattoos on his arms, a circular tattoo on his chest, a buzz cut and tanned skin. The second suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 5′ 10″ tall, well tanned, approximately 23-years-old, 170 lbs, shaved head, full sleeve tattoos on his arms (flames) and tattoo writing across his stomach. The third suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 6’2″ tall, approximately 19-years-old, fair skinned with short black hair.
Both victim’s suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
