Minnedosa RCMP have charged 19-year-old Christopher Ryan Rollins with several charges as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on June 19, 2009 near Bethany, Manitoba.
Rollins is charged with drive while disqualified, drive over 80mg causing death, dangerous driving causing death, all under the Criminal Code of Canada, and one count of supply liquor to minors under the Liquor Control Act.
Rollins was the driver of a vehicle that lost control while traveling on a gravel road near Bethany. The front passenger, Jodie Lynn Vandenberghe (17) was killed instantly when she was ejected from the vehicle. Three other female youth passengers received minor injuries from the rollover.
Rollins was arrested and released on an undertaking with numerous conditions and is to appear in Minnedosa Provincial Court on September 29, 2009.
