Lynn Lake RCMP report that Lorna Dumas, who was reported missing on the 17th of December, 2008, was located and found to be deceased. Dumas was last reported to have been seen in Lynn Lake on the 13th of December, 2008.
On December 28th, 2008, Dumas was located near the town of Lynn Lake by community members who were searching for her. No foul play is suspected at this time. An autopsy will be performed later this week to determine the cause of death.
The Lynn Lake RCMP would like to thank the Canadian Rangers, the Marcel Colomb First Nation Band members as well as all other community members who participated in the organized and unorganized searches.
