On September 5, 2009 shortly after 12:30am, RCMP Powerview were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 11, South Shore, Fort Alexander.
Two male occupants in the pick up truck, both from Fort Alexander First Nation, were taken to the Pine Falls General Hospital for medical treatment. The 52-year-old, who was ejected from the vehicle, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased about an hour later while in Hospital. The 68-year-old was treated and released. His injuries were considered non-life threatening.
RCMP Powerview Detachment continue their investigation on what lead to this collision assisted by an RCMP Reconstructionist. Alcohol is considered a factor in this collision.
The investigation continues.
