Around 8pm, on October 11, 2009, officers from the Dauphin RCMP were called to a single vehicle collision in the 1500 block of Main Street South in Dauphin.
Investigators determined that a Pontiac Grand Prix had accelerated through the Tim Horton’s parking lot and onto the grass in front of the Prairie Mountain Inn where it struck a tree and a flag pole before coming to a stop.
The driver, a 22-year-old man from Barrows, Manitoba was arrested at the scene for impaired driving. He has been released from custody and is to appear in Dauphin Court on November 10, 2009.
There were no injuries.
