RCMP Headingley Traffic services were dispatched at approximately 10am on October 19, 2009, to a single vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer hauling BFI bins on the South Perimeter (100) and Brady Road.
The driver, a 38-year-old man from Winnipeg, was extricated from the tractor trailer and taken to the Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicate that the tractor trailer was travelling east-bound on the South Perimeter, when the driver lost control while making a lane change. The tractor trailer was hauling contaminated soil at the time of the collision.
Manitoba Conservation has been on scene managing clean up efforts.
RCMP continue their investigation into what lead to the collision.
No charges have been laid.
