The RM of La Broquerie will not make changes to the zoning of churches as part of their municipal development plan amendments.
The municipality had proposed to allow for the construction of churches on agricultural conservative zoned land as a conditional use. The change would have come into effect when the municipality gives final approval to their amended development plan.
The RM of La Broquerie made the decision after a number of objections to the proposed zoning amendment were received.
The amendment was given a second reading but council will not proceed any further.
