On November 17, 2009, around 9am, Norway House RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter to a business on Mission Island in Norway House, Manitoba.
Police attended the Fisherman’s Co-op, where one of the buildings on site had been broken into and money stolen from inside. While police were at the store, a report of a break and enter to a residence was received, where 3 firearms were reported stolen, as well, a boat was stolen from the property. The investigation revealed that the same suspects were responsible for both events.
Police were able to identify five suspects and arrest three of them. Police were also able to recover the stolen boat and the stolen firearms.
All of the suspects are youth, two of which were arrested and released to appear in court at a later date. One suspect was held in custody to appear in court. Police are still looking for the last two suspects.
