At approximately 2am on December 7, 2009, Steinbach RCMP received a call of several hundred bales on fire near PTH 302, just south of Highway 12.
Further information noted a second fire approximately 1/2 mile further south involving a trailer loaded with another 26 bales of hay.
Approximately 300 bales were destroyed in the two fires.
