On December 9, 2009, at about 8pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a house fire on Park Drive in the Town of MacGregor, Manitoba.
On arrival, MacGregor Fire Department and E.M.S. were on scene. Heavy smoke was reported to be visible at this time.
A 62-year-old resident of the home was transported to hospital by ambulance for minor smoke inhalation and later released. There was no one else in the home at the time of the fire.
A damage estimate has not been provided, however the home was reported to have been completely destroyed by fire.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner attended, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
