On January 12, 2010, at 10:05am, Brandon RCMP were called to a two vehicle head-on collision approximately 6.5 miles south of Brandon on Highway 10.
Police investigation revealed that a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck was heading north on Highway 10 when it lost control on the slippery road surface and slid sideways into the path of a 2008 Buick car that was heading south.
A 56-year-old woman from Boissevain was operating the pickup truck and a 56-year-old male from Winnipeg was operating the passenger car. The two persons in the pickup truck and the lone person in the car were transported to the Brandon Regional Health Center and admitted with undisclosed injuries.
