On January 10, 2010, shortly after 4:30pm, RCMP Manitou Detachment were advised that an intoxicated male had fired a firearm outside of a residence on Swan Lake First Nation.

The individual in question had since got into a blue Mercury Grand Marquis and left.

RCMP Units from the area began to patrol and spotted a vehicle matching the description. The vehicle was stopped on Highway 34 just south of the community of Holland. As RCMP members approached the vehicle, a firearm was observed in the back seat. All three individuals in the vehicle were arrested and the loaded firearm was seized. 

Multiple firearms related charges were laid in this incident. Charged are 33-year-old William Mckinney from Brandon who has been released and will be appearing in Morden court on February 23, 2010, 23-year-old Donald Mckinney who was remanded in custody and appeared January 12, 2010 in Winnipeg, as well as 40-year-old Glen Myerion of Swan Lake First Nation was been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Winnipeg January 14, 2010.
 
No one was injured in this incident.
