At approximately 6:15am on January 25, 2010, Beausejour RCMP received a call that an eastbound CP Rail train had struck a car which had become stuck in the snow.

The collision occurred at a marked crossing approximately 4 miles south of Highway 44 on St. Ouen’s Road, approximately 6 miles southeast of Beausejour.

Investigation revealed that the owner of the car had become stuck in the snow which had blown in during the night, minutes prior to the collision.

Nobody was injured, as the driver of the car had walked from the car seeking assistance.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
