On January 25, 2010, just before midnight, Swan River RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at a local pharmacy in downtown Swan River.

Upon police arrival, broken glass could be seen at the front door of the pharmacy. Police secured the perimeter then entered the building to conduct a search of the interior of the pharmacy. A lone male was located behind the pharmacy counter. Police arrested the intoxicated male.

During a search incidental to arrest, police found property which was stolen from the business in his possession.

The total theft value was approximately $1,000.

A 22-year-old Swan River man has been charged with break and enter with theft, breach of probation and has been remanded to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court on January 27, 2010 at 10am.
