RCMP have located 16-year-old Lisa McCormick, who was reported missing from the Russell area on January 6, 2010.
On January 28, 2010, at approximately 9:30pm, a motorist in the Killarney area recognized the 16-year-old as she was hitchhiking in the Killarney area. The motorist picked up Lisa McCormick and escorted her to the Killarney RCMP Detachment.
She was found alone, unharmed and there is no indication of foul play, nor are there any charges pending. McCormick ran away on her own accord and was avoiding police efforts to locate her.
She was turned over to Brandon Child and Family Services who will be addressing the matter with her legal guardian.
No further police involvement is anticipated at this time.
