51-year-old Glen Samuel Nieman was arrested on the morning of February 03, 2010, by the St. Pierre RCMP at a residence in St. Malo, Manitoba.
Nieman was wanted for being unlawfully at large and failing to comply with his release conditions as a result of his parole being revoked by Corrections Canada.
Nieman, previously arrested in 2008 for flight from police and obstruction of justice, then on a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant, was released on parole in 2009.
Nieman’s current parole was revoked due to his breaching mandatory reporting conditions and abstinence from non-prescription drugs. Nieman is pending a remand hearing and will be held in custody on the existing revocation of bail.
Charges of obstruction of justice are pending against a local woman alleged to have concealed Nieman’s whereabouts while he was unlawfully at large.
