Swan River RCMP are conducting snowmobile patrols in the Duck Mountain and Minitonas area and are committed to making all of the designated snowmobile trails in the Swan Valley safer for anyone wishing to use them.
Swan River RCMP will be on the trails checking for offences under the Criminal Code such as impaired operation of a motor vehicle as well as under the Off-road Vehicles Act and Crown Lands Act such as unregistered off-road vehicles, helmet offences, permits (ie, Snopass) and others.
The RCMP will be working in conjunction with Manitoba Conservation to ensure the safety of all off-road vehicle users.
The RCMP would like to encourage off-road vehicle users to always operate their vehicle in a safe manner and abide by Federal and Provincial laws.
