On Saturday January 10, 2009 at about 4 p.m., Teulon RCMP were involved in a pursuit of a vehicle in the Rural Municipality of Armstrong.
Police responded to a call of a truck that sped away from a Manitoba Conservation check stop near Matlock, Manitoba. The vehicle was again located by Teulon RCMP near Teulon. A pursuit ensued, and the vehicle failed to stop for police until it pulled into a yard outside of Warren. The driver was arrested at the scene. During the pursuit, speeds were in excess of 100 km per hour.
A 42-year-old Stonewall man is facing charges of Impaired driving, Driving over .08, Failing to stop for police, Dangerous driving, Driving without a valid license, driving an unregistered vehicle and Open liquor in a motor vehicle.
He will be appearing in court in Teulon on March 23, 2009.
