RCMP Neepawa Detachment continue their investigation in a two vehicle collision involving a school bus which occurred earlier this week.
RCMP have determined that the school bus was going eastbound on Road 86N, stopped at the stop sign and began to proceed across the intersection when the Chevrolet Alero, driven by a 50-year-old women from Winnipegosis, was going northbound and collided with the school bus.
The status of the 50-year-old woman driver from Winnipegosis remains unknown. RCMP report that the male driver of the school bus was not hurt in the collision.
No charges have been laid at this point and the investigation continues.
Update 03/04/10 8:15pm
On March 4, 2010 at about 4:30pm, the RCMP Neepawa were advised that the 50-year-old Winnipegosis woman, who was driving a Chevrolet Alero at the time of the collision, had succumbed to her injuries. At the request of the family she will not be identified.
The investigation continues.
