RCMP Headingley Traffic Services were dispatched to the North Perimeter where a tractor trailer accident resulted in diesel fuel leaking onto the highway.

The tractor trailer was reported to have been hauling peas when it hit what appeared to be a piece of metal on the highway. The metal piece hit and punctured the tractor trailer’s fuel tank which caused the diesel fuel leak.

RCMP assisted by Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation were on scene. Sand and sweepers were used to remove the diesel from the Perimeter Highway. 

RCMP report no injuries in the incident.
