RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating Franklin Cook who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder incident that occurred earlier this month.
On April 4, 2010, at 5:54am, RCMP The Pas and RCMP Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN) Detachments were dispatched to an apartment complex in the Community of Opaskwayak Cree Nation in Manitoba for a report of several shots being fired.
Witness accounts revealed that two males entered a residence uninvited and shot at a male individual who fled the scene. Although several shots were fired, no one was injured in this incident.
One of the suspects, 21-year-old Clifford John Jobb, was arrested for attempted murder and numerous firearm offences and is being held in custody.
A warrant for the arrest of 23-year-old Franklin Clifford Cook has been issued and attempts are being made to locate him. Police believe that Cook may be currently residing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is considered armed and dangerous.
Franklin Cook is described as 166 cm tall, 81 kg’s, aboriginal in appearance with black hair and brown eyes.
The incident is believed to be gang related.

Franklin Cook, who was wanted for attempted murder, was located at a residence in the Community of OCN, on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 6pm. Cook was arrested without incident and remanded into custody to make an initial appearance in The Pas Provincial Court this morning.
