On April 28, 2010, at approximately 2pm, Brandon RCMP were notified that there had been an accident at a commercial business at the old Airforce Base in the RM of Daly, just outside the town of Rivers, Manitoba.

RCMP investigation revealed that just prior to noon, an employee was working on a roof of an old hanger building, when he fell approximately 20 feet. 911 Emergency was called and the man was transported by ambulance to the Brandon Regional Health Center where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after 1pm.

The 58-year-old male is from the Rivers area and is a long time employee of Devonridge Farms.

RCMP report no signs of foul play.
