On April 29, 2010, Carberry RCMP Officers, with the assistance from Neepawa, Treherne and Brandon RCMP officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in the Village of Glenboro, Manitoba.
Police found and seized 21 marijuana plants, almost 70 grams of marijuana, 11 unsafely stored rifles and shot guns and plenty of growing and drug paraphernalia.
Police believe the marihuana grow operation has been on going for several months due to the moderate sophistication of the grow environment.
The drugs seized by police have an estimated street value of just over $21,000.
One man from Glenboro faces charges of production of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, 9 counts of unauthorized possession of firearms and 9 counts of unsafe storage of firearms. Another man from Glenboro faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of unauthorized possession and unsafe storage of firearms.
Both men have been released from police custody and will be appearing for court in Brandon on June 17, 2010.
The investigation is continuing.
