Police arrested a male youth in Melita this morning in connection with a homicide in Melita, Manitoba which occurred last week.
On May 14, 2010 at about 5pm, the Westman RCMP Detachment were dispatched to a complaint of a 64-year-old male found deceased in his residence in Melita, Manitoba.
Upon arrival, police located Francis Melvin Renwick deceased.
An autopsy was completed at the Health Science Center in Winnipeg on May 17, 2010. The investigation has revealed that Mr. Renwick has died as a result of foul play. The cause of death is not being released at this time.
This matter is being investigated as a homicide. Police arrested a male youth in Melita this morning. Charges have not been laid.
Members of the RCMP Major Crime Services, RCMP Dauphin Forensic Identification Services along with members of the Westman RCMP Detachment continue to investigate.
