Shoal Lake RCMP were called to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 355, 6 kilometres east of Highway 21 near Hamiota, Manitoba.

RCMP reported that a 35-year-old female from the Shoal Lake area was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated by EMS workers. She was taken to Hamiota hospital where she died of her injuries. A 17-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with undetermined non-life threatening injuries.  

A collision analyst attended the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling east on Highway 355 when the driver lost control after hitting a pothole, rolling the vehicle. Alcohol is not a factor in this collision.  

An autopsy is scheduled for today at the Brandon Hospital and the investigation is continuing.

The deceased driver in this collision has been identified as 35-year-old Teena-Joy Adams of Shoal Lake Manitoba.
