Kids eagerly await their turn to spray the firehose.
The smiles on their faces say it all, kids are loving the field trips to the Steinbach Firehall!
This week and next, Deputy Fire Chief, Don Smith, is having fun showing kids the Firehall and teaching them valuable lessons about what the Steinbach Fire Department does and why.
Along with the important fire safety lessons, the kids also get to have fun trying on various fire equipment, climbing on a firetruck and spraying the fire hose! Public education is an important mandate of the Steinbach Fire Department and school tours are one way they have to reach younger people.
