On January 24, 2009 shortly after 12:30 p.m., Russell RCMP Detachment received a call from the spouse of 50-year-old Nicolas Huberdeau of St. Lazare, Mb reporting that he was missing.
RCMP assisted by family, friends and the local Fire Dept are conducting a search of the surrounding area roads. Initial attempts to locate Nicolas Huberdeau have failed. RCMP were advised Nicolas Huberdeau is currently taking medication for a personal illness that appears to have alter his normal behaviour.
Nicolas Huberdeau was last seen leaving a gas station in St. Lazare at approximately 9:30 – 10 a.m. on the morning of January 24, 2009 after filling up his vehicle with gas. He hasn’t been heard from since. This is considered very unusual behaviour on his part and his family is concerned something may have happen to him.
He is described as 5′ 11″, 170 lbs, graying short hair, blue eyes wearing blue insulated coveralls and brown shoes. He was driving a 1995 white 4 door Mercury Grand Marquis with Manitoba plates ECV 403.
If anyone has any information on Nicolas Huberdeau or has seen his vehicle, they are asked to contact the Russell RCMP at 773-2105.
Update 01/26/09:
Today RCMP will continue to search for Huberdeau assisted by family members, Manitoba Search and Rescue, the local Fire Department and local area residents by going mile by mile and checking grid roads in the St. Lazare area in a bid to find Nicolas Huberdeau.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police Detachment or RCMP Russell Detachment at 773-2105. Nicolas Huberdeau was last seen driving a 1995 white 4 door Mercury Grand Marquis with Manitoba plates ECV 403.
